If you have been looking for an alternative to the traditional family portraits, Mark Gower, a graduate of the Royal Collage of Art, creates bespoke drawn portraits, which have a graphic elegance with a finely tuned use of colour.

Outline drawings, usually derived from photographs taken in succession, are layered over each other to give the impression of figures in motion. Using this style Mark captures the essence of what family life is all about.

The portraits either have flat areas of colour or colours placed on top of each other but these are always surrounded by layered outlines.

Each portrait is a personal study and the style of a particular portrait is determined by the figures being drawn, this process makes Mark’s work truly unique.

Portraits are generally printed on to canvas and then stretched on handmade wooden frames and supplied ready to hang.
